pastelpetals {etsy love}

So.  I am absolutely getting caught up in the holiday season of shopping.  I mean giving. Hee.

Seriously, though, there are *so* many delights, so I hope y'all don't mind if the next couple of weeks are devoted to little treasures that I want, but am absolutely exercising proper restraint.  But hey, maybe that means one of you will see something to treat yourself or a loved one with :)!

First up: PastelPetals, who I discovered through Luphia Loves!  Again, the delicacy of these pieces are just delightful :)  She's based in Singapore, though, so you might have to act quickly to get these here in time for the holidays!  PS: most everything is under $20!  And shipping looks to be about $3-3.50!

Laura Caslin {love!}

omg, I super enjoyed the etsy craft fair earlier today!! It went much quicker than I had expected, though I'd never been to a craft fair before, so I wasn't sure what to expect.  Full review will be later -- tomorrow, each day this week, I have no idea, but I had to squeeze in this post before I jet to a couple parties this afternoon & evening!

So.  I fell. in.love. with Laura Caslin's gorgeously delicate necklaces.  The daintiness is just *so* exquisite, I can't truly describe it.  I had *promised* the hubs I wouldn't purchase anything for myself -- which, okay, I teensy broke a little, but if I had caved and bought a Laura Caslin piece, that would have been uber-obvious.  But seriously -- beautiful work, very reasonable pricing!  le sigh (le sigh le sigh, seriously).

I stopped by Laura's etsy shop + didn't see the pieces displayed at the fair (understandably!), but here's a couple delights, just to give you a taste.

The middle, for instance, uses vintage watch parts, if I'm not mistaken.  But imagine an entire chain like the top earring! Plus, say, a horizontal row of teeny pearls!  Or a cluster of delicate stone briolettes!  sigh. [**update! found a photo of one of these necklaces :)!!**]

Okay, back to getting ready for the shindigs tonight, hopefully y'all have a delightful rest of the weekend!

Week's Wedding Lovelies

There was too much wedding beauty to squeeze all of them into my week's favorites post.  Like...

Kari Herer (above + below), via Style Me Pretty

Um, there is no way you could have missed this wedding, but -- just to capture my favorites from the wedding of Jessica Claire (who, my friend L + I both agree, we wish we could be friends with -- not only does her writing reflect how cool + fun + down to earth she must be, but L (and her sis E) played kickball for ... gosh, 15+ years maybe? and JC had the most fabulous 30th bday party: a kick-butt kickball shindig!  Um, I've played kickball... twice maybe, and I totally want a kickball party for my 30th bday! a-hem, digression).

The flowers (and the jeweled detail) + JC's gorgeous gorgeous necklace.

And you know I am in love with these rustic-chic tablescapes. (L, I'm stealing your phrase -- it's so perfect!)

And mis-matched bridesmaids are my so my fave.

And (un-JC related): these.belts.are.awesome -- carried by Utah bridal boutique Alta Moda Bridal, featured on Utah Bride Blog.

Okay, and of course this dress!  (And isn't this bride *the cutest*!)

Un-Dye-ing love for pretty things

I seriously heart Elizabeth Dye. In the least creepy way possible. But I saw this one post this weekend that reminded me of a post I thought was hers [will share those later], and so was "thumbing" through her blog.

And remembered why I began following it in the first place. such. pretty. things.

Perhaps if I ever get to visit Portland I'll pop into her shop. Huh, maybe people don't just pop into custom-designers shops, though? because I'm pretty sure she only does custom work. So... uber-creepy to just walk in, right? Well, if we do ever end up making it over there, then I'm definitely coming over with a project in mind. THEN I could have TWO trips! whoo!

Reasons for this enchantment:
  • And this treat was a 30th birthday frock! Seriously, I just think "yums."
  • This delight was born of the dress worn by the bride's mother -- Dye's short description is hilarious. But seriously -- love the lace detailing.
  • And this: Spectacular. And hello, partially my namesake? Fate, of course.
