Happy Monday! {flickr finds}
I love this early hour! The sun is just breaking the horizon -- cheers to a beautiful Monday everyone!

So it begins
June is almost right here! Which means lovely quick jaunts across the country are in store for me, but also slamming work. I'll pop in when I can -- I feel like this pic by vestman (found via flickr) sums up about how I feel :)
So -- cheers to a lovely month for everyone, I hope everyone enjoys a beautiful (unofficial) start to summer!

Etsy finds {pretty things!}
Anne at The City Sage just mentioned a jadite pitcher earlier today, and I couldn't help but think that jadite just sounds so pretty! So of course I popped over to etsy to see what pretty jadite treasures I could find. On the front page, a handful of pretties jumped out at me (like etsy was in collusion with my brain!), and I added just a touch more...
Row 2: rainsend's "Penguin on Iceberg Ring Holder," (missed getting this info! similar to Precious Pasttimes), "Carrie Necklace" by erinkeys (*love* this Carrie line!)

Happy Monday! {inspiration}
I am *all kinds* of lucky these days! Last night, I noticed Yvette Inufio had posted a celebratory post in her blog about almost reaching 200 sales (yea, Yvette!) at her etsy shop, and that the next buyer would receive a free 8x10 with purchase! Well, I have been stalking admiring Yvette's work for quite some time, and I absolutely jumped on the chance at possibly being that 200th sale! And yea me: with my selection in less than 4 minutes from her post (man, I love google reader!) and Yvette's generosity, I will soon be the proud owner of two of her works!
To celebrate, let's all enjoy just a sampling of Ms. Inufio's talent, shall we? Happy Monday!

Rejoice!
(c) Richard Thompson
So: I'm not sure if I'd ever mentioned this, but I had some crazy shiznit go down when I was trying to purchase a picture book I'd created on Snapfish, and Paypal crazily wasn't refunding my money when there was some log-in error on their site, and I ended up paying for this book 4 times.
FOUR.
A-hem. Well, after much FAQs surfing + phone calls + emails, etc., I finally researched who I'd have to contact outside of either company, since both were uselessly telling me to contact the other company because they couldn't help blah blah blah.
And THEN I found out: in Texas, you can write the Texas Banking Commission. Or, at least, that's what two people suggested on this forum I'd found, since TBC was interested in Paypal seizing accounts without any due process -- which, although mine wasn't an account, I figured this seizure of funds was similar to seizure of an account, right?
Well, I've been lazy, quite frankly. But I finally got to typing up my letter to TBC today, and logged into my Paypal account to see what exactly were these alleged non-existent transaction ids (that Paypal's Resolution Center refused to recognize!) --
And guess what? They finally refunded/released the funds they'd been holding! WOOT! I'm a little bitter, because damn, I wrote a rockin letter, complete with headers and succinctness within each section.
But, I'll take my money back with no effort on my part. Other than all that yelling and researching and phone time. UGH. But done, whew.
So let's all celebrate, yes? and enjoy this gorgeous photography by Richard Thompson!

My fabulous weekend...
Amazing brunch with the girls.
Clean refrigerator :) (I know, sadly empty, but I'm working on it!)
Penny Sale at Aaron Bros. (to frame awesome-girl artwork by Kathy R. Jeffords + Donut photograph by Lorri Honeycutt) + Awesome shopping at Michael's.
L: I saw this three-corner punch + thought it was fate that it was on sale, since I keep trying to push these things on you :D One of the three punches through cards just fine, but the other 2 had probs :( -- but hey, thin papers work great! And now I don't have to keep pushing this thing on you so I can live vicariously through you -- whoo!
Tacos three ways!
Soft tacos the first night, taco nachos the next day at lunch, and .... Mexican pasta! (And woot on costs: $8.50 for three meals for two people! And still one more serving left...)
Cookie success ... and fail.
And... crafting success! Rachel, I have all kinds of new mad respect for you -- my ruffle patch does not look very neat. But maybe I can attach something to the back ...
For my first try, not so bad, right? I had leftover 5" wide faux-silk ribbon (shiny/silky on one side, matte on the other) laying around, which I cut into squares, then quarters for smaller buds (8 pairs of buds sewn altogether). The silkiness made these a little more slippery than I expected (literally, some of these blooms would leap out of my hands!), but overall, this took me less than an hour, woot! I'm sure if you've got more sewing skills, you could knock out this teeny patch in 15 mins :D I sewed two groups far enough apart so I could cut them apart to make cute shoe clips, if I want, too -- love all these possibilities!
Hope your weekend was terrific + your Monday is fabulous!

Photograph lovelies {ccgd}
Of course I am procrastinating like crazy. But hey, procrastination is when I find the most loveliest of treasures -- like the photography of ccgd on flickr. I've started a small gallery, just so I could easily share a few faves here, but if you have the time, his photography is breathtaking -- the colors in these are just so splendid, it was worth the break :)
