Folksy love

Maybe I'm slow here, but through Tea for Joy, I hopped over to The Copper Swallow, which led me to the general area of folksy.com -- looks like an UK etsy?  Cute cute cute!

Etsy love

So many resolutions/goals this year.  But I like to think of them as achievable, not just a fantasy to-do list.

On that list of Achievable Things is to splurge less, and to focus on Necessities.  Like perhaps replacing the paper/disposable blinds that have been our upstairs window coverings for the past nearly-two years.

But, that still means that Window/Virtual Shopping is still available to me :)  And these delights are well-worth my time, even if I can't quite plunk down the $ to back it up.

(sigh)

Totally one of those days. So, immediate cheer from blogs:

  • This recipe (and the extolling of its virtues) from The City Sage

Shhh ....

I heart Papyrus. And they're having a $1 card stock-up sale. Craziness to get excited. But look at these cuties:
(nuns water-skiing) (Duh, I love cupcakes!) (Copper journal) (Silver Tie Journal)

But also, best time ever:

Aaron Brothers' penny sale!! Seriously. I know I'm on their mailing/email list, and I *never* hear of this sale. And I try to re-sign up at their website for mailings, and they tell me that I'm already on their list so I can't re-sign up. They don't tell me cuz they know I'll buy everything in the store...

On a lighter note...

Aren't these adorable? All by evince design -- one of the girls I worked with one summer sent me a link to Erin's shop when she first opened it, and I was instantly enamored with all the cute notecards! Since then she's expanded, and I just got an email today with these adorable invites. And I'm still in love with those cute notecards...

Paper yummies

Doesn't that just look delightful? Not so much "visual feast," since surely a lone cupcake couldn't be that, but it's so .... girly, i guess, it's *most* definitely a delight. Sometimes i wish i could trace how i hope through the virtual world, because i have no idea how i got to PaperCakes on my lunch break (though PaperCakes apparently used to be Chelstastic, that's *awesome*) -- but I can't wait to cruise through her etsy store!

Invitation

Ahh, Printable Press.

This is it. I love the wording. And the colors. Although i super heart the colors below. But jeez, the wording. Even though I know I could use the words on another invite, still.

Okay, and other wording via paperpress:
  • Together with their families, ____ and ___ request the pleasure of your presence at their wedding .
  • Please join us to share our joy and support our love as we exchange vows and are united in the commitment of marriage. ___ and ____
  • It is with joy that we invite you to celebrate the marriage of ___ and ___.
And darn, but these are cute too:
[Elegantly framed]
[Classic Curls]
[Gothic Forest]
And, um, just about everything here.

Invitations!

Okay, really, no more than half an hour more. But somehow I got into invitations. At Target. I know. But i tried searching Etsy earlier, and i super heart letterpress, but again, budget + not wanting to go crazy-go-nuts on this convalidation ceremony/i hope i'm not harboring bitterness towards my family for jumping on board 4 years later (i should be happy!) --

invitations. simple. inexpensive. awesome.

Ooooh -- I popped over to marthastewartcrafts, thinking there'd be some fab invites (not so much, for me) -- but i love this idea!

my mom used to take my sister & me to a paper store (stationarie?) and let us make our own "personalized" stationary by running copies on papers we'd get to pick (man, that's pretty cool for a mom, huh?). Anyway -- colored stationaries are *so* cheap (compared to invite sets, right?), though perhaps cutting each one + folding, not so much... but still, just an idea. especially with these seals!

and with colored seals, colored envelopes seem silly, and white 4x6" envelopes are *so* cheap! Or whatever the slightly-larger craft-sized envelopes are...

Etsy Stop #56 of the day

If I was as devoted to work as I am to popping in on etsy... well, I would be a superstar.

i'm such a sucker for the front page

Who doesn't like pretty papers?
fieldandsea, @ $27

I have been all over knit-woven rings, I have no idea why, I know I can't pull them off...
neawear, @ $35

Um, the wall deal is cool, but man, that couch is what I really want...
Expressingyou (for wall decal)

Huh. I almost like this as an art print in itself, than the set of four art postcards...
michellebrusegaard, $5

Ooh, and this too :) $6!

And okay, this is mean, but seriously: fail. I won't name who it is, but ummm, no.
It's a ring. For your finger. Uh-uh. It might be a cute hair thing (I just learned the word fascinator, see below, and I'm not sure if that's what this would be called since I don't *exactly* know what a fascinator is, still, but this looks like one to me. Not something to wear on your finger.)
